KAMP Manager- South Florida
Kaplan Division: Kaplan University City: South Florida/Orlando State/Province: Florida Position Type Full Time Job Level: Some Experience Job Description Purpose of the Job/Principal Responsibilities: The mission of the KU Training and Development Department is to utilize a consistent approach, applying adult learning theory to provide world-class learning interventions, which ultimately improve performance and assist KU student service teams to achieve their business objectives. The KAMP Manager is responsible for the implementation of KAMP activities as well as special projects as designated by the Sr. Manager or Senior Director of Management Training and Development. The tasks involved include, conducting training sessions, phone monitoring, providing daily and weekly feedback to KAMPers on all aspects of their position, as well as providing support to KAMP graduates. The Kaplan Advising Management Program Manager will serve as a trainer, coach, motivator and guide to the KAMP participants. The goal of the KAMP Manager is to train and develop the KAMP participants, which will enable them to learn more about management within Kaplan University. Typical activities for a KAMP Manager include: *Training KAMPers on process, policy and procedures as they relate to management within the admissions department *Monitoring of calls *Helping KAMP participants use metrics to analyze and improve individual and overall team member production *Maintaining communication with the Sr. Manager and Sr. Director of Mgmt Training and Development and site Directors and Associate Directors. *Facilitation of training sessions *Monitoring KAMP teams to achieve optimal conversion performance standards and lead the team in the accomplishment of meeting assigned goals *Help with the coordination of KAMP shadowing sessions *Train KAMP participants on any and all reports that relate to an admissions management position *Know, maintain, adhere and comply with all appropriate corporate policies, state and federal regulations and follow all Standard Operating Procedures *Track calls and all other reports to monitor productivity throughout the day *Maintain knowledge of programs offered and take responsibility for keeping current with program changes and new programs offered *Participate in programs for self-improvement and professional development especially as it relates to coaching *Facilitate inter-departmental communications to help create a positive, team-oriented atmosphere *Performs all interactions with the highest level of customer service and professionalism *Perform various other duties as assigned by Management Experience Required *Previous successful sales, sales management or Admissions experience &- required *3 years management experience required *Minimum of 6 months KU Admissions Mgmt experience preferred *Bachelors Degree OR *Associates Degree AND actively enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program OR *If Associates Degree was not awarded then at least 70 credit hours towards a Bachelors Degree is acceptable AND actively enrolled Position Requirements /Scope of the Job/ Skills Required: *Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an emphasis in PowerPoint. *Must be able to work some evenings and weekend hours. *Must be able to travel to other locations and stay for several days or up to 2 weeks, if necessary. *Excellent oral and written communication skills. *Attention to detail. *Must have the ability to communicate accurately and positively by telephone, e-mail, and other media to internal customers, including other Kaplan University and KHE departments. *Ability to follow processes, policy and work effectively on a team and maintain a positive attitude. *Capable of accomplishing multiple tasks within specific periods of time *Ability to answer complicated Admissions questions accurately and in detail *Skilled and comfortable presenting information in one-on-one and group forums *Positive support regarding managerial decisions Measurement of Success: Members of the Management Training and Development Team will be evaluated based on: *Improved KPIs or metrics as determined by business partners and senior leadership with the Training organization. (Including increased sales conversation and customer satisfaction) *Ability to learn required and updated processes and follow them correctly and productively *Ability to transfer knowledge and skills to training participants, client management team members, and other Kaplan employees. *Ability to work effectively on a team, both within and across Kaplan University departments *Ability to display a positive attitude and enthusiasm *Overall management retention rate *Ability of KAMP participants to meet established conversion performance Important Notes
