Blog Post: 25 years is a long time!

25 years, 2 1/2 decades, is certainly a long time. That is how long the Central Florida ASTD chapter has been in existence! That's alot of history in the workplace learning and performance industry. In fact, that phrase wasn't even a thought back then.

When the chapter first got started, people were still allowed to smoke right in their offices! That's only something we see in old movies like "9 to 5".

So, how much of the 25 year history in the training industry do you remember? What has been your experience as our profession has evolved?

For me, it's been 9 years. This is when moving to an EPSS was considered the latest and greatest in training advancements. I've seen the advent of e-learning, learning technologies, virtual learning, online synchronous collaboration, blogs, I could go on! I wonder what else I'll experience.
