Profile: Community Service Center Central Florida

Welcome to the Community Service Center of Central Florida’s website. A Heart of Florida United Way agency, we have been serving the less fortunate in the Central Florida community for more than thirty five years.

Today, the Community Service Center carries on the tradition of helping families in need begun in 1970. The service area has expanded to the tri-county area of Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. Over the years additional services have been added. However, the heart of the agency is still its commitment to help families who have had an unforeseen emergency with financial assistance for rent, mortgage and utilities through our Emergency Assistance program. The Center also maintains a Clothes Closet and Food Pantry.

Acknowledging that families need other types of assistance, the Community Service Center added Families First! support programs. These include: parenting classes, eye care for needy children, new school shoes for low-income students, anger management support groups, and adopt-a-family opportunities for the holidays. The Center also sponsors family literacy after school and summer programs in low income communities.
