ABOUT FAPS

The Florida Association of Personnel Services (FAPS) is a non-profit trade association that was founded to represent all areas of the Staffing Industry in the state of Florida. Membership is comprised of Permanent Placement, Temporary Staffing, and Executive Search companies within the state.

Any corporation, company, partnership, firm or individual engaged in negotiating placement or outplacement where a fee is charged is eligible for membership without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, veteran status or disability.

OUR MISSION

It is the mission of FAPS to promote the professional growth and positive image of staffing and personnel services by:

• Providing ongoing training and networking opportunities;
• Supporting standards and ethical practices;
• Creating awareness of legislative issues;
• Acting as a unified voice; and,
• Continuing to add value to its members.

This will ensure the industry’s positive impact on individuals, businesses, and the economy as a whole.

OUR OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE

• To promote high standards of ethical practice and encourage friendly relations among all private employment agencies in the State of Florida.

• To promote the interests of the industry and its employees before federal, state, and local governments.

• To promote, through programs, publicity, publications, and position statements, positive recognition of the staffing services industry by government, business and the general public regarding private personnel services.

• To increase the efficiency of the personnel services industry by developing, maintaining, analyzing and disseminating comprehensive industry-related information, by promotion of effective methods for serving employers and employees, and by the investigation and study of industrial and economic conditions with a  view of employment stabilization.

• In general, to promote, extend and protect the interests of the personnel services industry.
