Jobing Description
Position Overview:
Perform equipment preventive maintenance as well as PLC and equipment maintenance troubleshooting to meet or exceed plant goals. Achieve in a safe manner, TCCC Quality, Service, and Cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements, and with all regulations (local to federal). Participate in project assignments as necessary. Direct and track contractor needs and activities as directed by management. Ensure compliance with The Coca-Cola Company Management System standards. Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Service, and Cost objectives.

Function Specific Activities:
High school diploma/GED equivalency required. Extensive maintenance background which may include hydraulics, controls, welding, electrical, PLC's, and pneumatics. Able to understand and follow instructions concisely. Working knowledge of hand and power tools. Able to read diagrams, blueprints and schematics. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders, etc. and ability to work in extreme temperatures. Must have strong problem solving skill, and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations.

Core Duties:
  • Properly install, repair or service machinery, equipment, and support systems as required.
  • Properly trouble-shoot and maintain production lines.
  • PLC knowledge and skill application, including instrumentation calibration and repair experience.
  • Work directly with production and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that will ensure maximum efficiencies.
  • Use computer and associated software on PLC's to troubleshoot and correct equipment issues.
  • Properly perform all necessary maintenance tasks to production lines (i.e. rebuilds, welding, valve, pipe and solenoid selection, etc.)
  • Properly develop and implement preventive maintenance systems for all production equipment.
  • Execute predictive and preventative maintenance practices for all production equipment, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs.
  • Actively assist with tracking parts use and inventory.
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of projects as required.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide input for yearly renewal of training skills for self and others.
  • Properly complete shift/departmental maintenance records.
  • Possess basic electrical knowledge. Ability to size conduits, wiring, thermal overloads, and starters. Able to check voltage, amperage, and continuity with a multi-meter. Able to read electrical diagrams.
  • Understand all plant and department safety and operational rules.
  • Keep accurate records as required to protect products, ingredients, processes, and information.

    Working Conditions:
    Work is performed in a manufacturing plant. Work involves exposure to temperature extremes, high noise levels, wetness, heights, dust, moving equipment, vibrations, fumes,etc. Work is performed around moving equipment and in tight spaces. Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection. Able to properly use SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus), respirator and Class A, B, or C Haz-mat suit as required by OSHA and NIOSH. MSDS sheets. Computer and associated software.

    Current schedule is three 12 hour days one week and four 12 hour days the next, working every other weekend, using a 2-2-3 pattern.
