Jobing Description
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for 24 hour operations within the clinical setting to ensure that the department delivers quality service and optimization of patient flow. These duties include responsibility for effective fiscal management of departmental operations. This position is responsible for human resource management to achieve quality services and positive employee relations. Coordinates staffing needs and reviews coverage on a daily basis. Responsibilities include hiring and evaluation of potential employees and compliance monitoring of staff certifications and required education. Assists the Director in the clinical evaluation of professional and para professional staff, completes written clinical performance appraisals and conducts timely employee performance assessments. Directs activities related to all aspects of nursing care and assumes responsibility for presenting a positive representation of corporate and departmental services. Routinely designs, implements and evaluates systems to improve the quality of service. Performs direct patient care duties as required to meet unit operational needs. Remains professional under stress and is responsible for communication within and outside the clinical unit, to ensure that information is shared for effective daily operations. Coordinate clinical activities with other departments as necessary. The Director assigns additional duties on an individual basis.
Other Related Functions Actively participate in departmental performance improvement activities. Demonstrates awareness of legal issues, patient rights and compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. Actively invests in their own personal growth and must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in the unit. Actively participates in both formal and informal educational programming. Skills / Requirements
Education/Training
Graduate from an approved school of nursing. Bachelor's degree preferred. Licensure/Certification Current RN license in the state of Florida. Maintains compliance with all appropriate clinical certifications and training Experience Two (2) years experience in a clinical area. Important Notes
