Job: Safety Tech

Implements, and coordinates program to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and financial losses: Identifies by daily audits and appraises conditions, which could produce accidents and financial losses. Enforces accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of organization.

Assist in the implementation of safety activities with department managers to ensure a safe plant environment. Assist with Quality system audit. Compiles statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational illnesses and accidents and prepares reports for information of personnel concerned.

Implements methods to evaluate safety program and conduct audits. May store and retrieve statistical data, using computer. Department Audits, Implements Safety Activities, Injury investigations,, perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Needs to have no more that 7 points on their license and if a ticket no more than 20 miles over. They have to be able to drive during work. 10 OSHA Class. 2 years Safety Exp at Manufacturing or Industrial Plant Exp.
