Sample Resumes

A combination resume takes the heart of the functional resume and adds the details of the work history to the end (it is sometimes seen as the compromise/best of both worlds - but each of these three formats has its pros and cons). It can be easier to write this type of resume if you have written the other two first. However, take special care when combining the two to not be repetitive between the Professional Qualifications section and the Work History details. Keep in mind, this type of resume can be long and key points could get lost in the bottom of the resume (instead of in the crucial top 1/3 of the page). Re-read when you are finished and make sure the most important points are highlighted in the summary at the top and then are supported in the Professional Qualifications section.
